Paris Couture Week 2017

Posted on July 10 2017

Paris Couture Week is over and as our design team at ETHER is always researching on new embellishments techniques and color story, so here we bring to you the most inspirational and thought provoking collections from Fashion Week 2017. The elaborate dresses at Paris Couture Week fall/winter will be the perfect inspiration for the upcoming season. Every major designer has managed to glitter the runway with sparkling sequins and illusionary Chiffon's leaving the viewers awestruck.

Lebanese designer Elie Saab known for his magnificently embellished red carpets dresses managed to take up a notch in his collection.  On a runway speckled with gold and colored sequins embroidered on the torso, feathers on shoulders, Saab showcased a royal collection of medieval-inspired gowns with the playfulness of wintry jewels and touch of fur. Some of the ensembles were also spotted with removable skirts attached with belts and velvet bustiers. The Surface ornamentation on the gown was a play of nature motifs climbing across the dresses and embroideries adding graphic impact on the bodice. Sheer fabrics alternatively pleated with lace and velvet gave an aesthetic look to the evening gowns.

Alexnder McQueen House of Fashion opened up in this Fashion Week. It wouldn’t be an Alexender McQueen show without feathers, intricate beading and airy hair makeup. Creative designer Sarah Burton took fashion back to medieval times with pagan – inspired aesthetics featuring embroidered dresses, feather stitching and jacquard.

Actress Sonam Kapoor, known as the Fashion diva of Bollywood,  also managed to grab eyeballs when she walked the ramp to present Ralph & Russo's 2017 fall/winter Haute Couture collection at the Paris Fashion Week on Monday. The actress was seen promoting the designer duo at Cannes last year donning a dramatic white creation and managing to turn a few heads. For this Haute Couture week she wore the show stopping bridal gown. The ensemble contained white embroidered peplum gown with a fabulous trail and sheer veil. She looked beautiful with minimum make up but decked in diamonds.
